Oho appoints tech founder Joe Hanna as Chair for the next chapter.

The experienced ASX CEO and founder joins the always on worker suitability platform protecting more than four million vulnerable Australians.

Oho has appointed Joe Hanna as Chair of its Board, effective 2 September 2026. He joins as Oho enters its next phase of growth and impact, with a rebuilt platform now serving more than 150 disability, early childhood, aged care and community organisations, and new screening products launching this quarter.

Joe brings more than 30 years of experience building and scaling technology businesses with successful exits. He co-founded PropTech Group (ASX:PTG), where he was Group CEO and Managing Director, and was co-founder and director of online property search company Mitula Group (ASX:MUA). Based in Melbourne, he combines founder’s instincts for building products and growth engines with the governance experience of leading a listed company.

Joe joins Oho with a real passion for its mission and a clear view of the opportunity ahead: scaling a business where every step means protecting more vulnerable people and organisations from abuse and its impacts. A builder by instinct, Joe sees an opportunity, unpacks it and turns it into lasting impact. He speaks as openly about the lessons learned along the way as he does about the wins.

“Worker suitability expectations on care providers from regulatory authorities are rising faster than most organisations can keep up with, and industry systems and supports are critical to safe rostering. Joe sees the role he can play in closing that gap. His conviction in our mission and his expertise in scaling businesses are exactly what we need as we head into this next chapter,” said Liv Whitty, CEO of Oho.

“I’ve spent my career building technology that makes things simpler and more efficient for the people using it. Oho applies that thinking to a problem with far higher stakes: keeping people who shouldn't be in care settings out of them. Liv and the team have rebuilt the platform to scale, and I'm honoured to join an exceptional board and passionate team to help it reach every provider that needs it,” said Joe Hanna.

The appointment comes at a pivotal time for Oho. Over the past year, the company has rebuilt its platform from the ground up, grown to over 150 Oho customers and deepened its position as the number one end to end care worker suitability platform in Australia. Since 2021, Oho has raised more than 1,000 red flags, each one a moment a provider could act on.

Oho extends its thanks to Rob Goodwin, who stepped down as Chair in March after five years on the Board. Rob helped shape, steer and grow Oho from its earliest days and continues as a valued advisor. Oho also thanks co-founder Claire Rogers for serving as an excellent interim Chair during the transition.
