Trusted by Aged Care & Disability Providers Across Australia
Screening that keeps up with aged care hiring.
Two weeks faster to hire on average with Oho, and assurance that holds every week after. Every credential, every carer, every service in one place, without the manual chasing.
Every credential aged care requires in one candidate link (NDIS checks, banning orders, Visas, NCCHCs and more), verified automatically and surfaced in your ATS and talent workflows.
We do police checks every three years. Aren't we covered?
+
The Aged Care Act 2024 requires aged care workers and responsible persons to hold either a police certificate or an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
A police certificate is a point-in-time check. It records what was true on the day it was issued, and nothing else until a new police check. An NDIS Check is a live record, it can be suspended or moved to excluded on any day.
Oho manages police certificates, and verifies NDIS checks every seven days, so you're notified of any changes.
Should we just wait for the National Aged Care Worker Screening Check?
+
The NDIS Worker Screening model is being extended to create a screening scheme for aged care, with broader changes expected from mid 2026.
But the obligations have already landed for providers, so we can't wait for the new scheme. The Aged Care Act 2024 commenced in 2025 and placed a worker screening duty on registered providers.
Getting confidence in your workforce has never been more important.
Our nurses are registered with Ahpra. Wouldn't we hear if something changed?
+
Ahpra can suspend a registration or impose conditions at any time. It doesn't notify every employer a practitioner works for, and in aged care nurses commonly work across several providers and agencies. You could be the employer who finds out last.
Oho verifies Ahpra registrations continuously, so a suspension or new condition reaches you rather than sitting on a register you'd have to manually check.
Our contractors and labour agency screen their own people.
+
The obligation still sits with you, however you engage them. Employees, contractors, agency staff and volunteers all need screening to determine whether they're suitable to work.
Oho covers your whole workforce in one view, so you get full visibility.
We have a HR and rostering system.
+
Most HR systems store what a worker gave you: a document and an expiry date. That's a record, not a status. If a registration is suspended, a condition is imposed, or a banning order is made, the file in your system doesn't change. It looks exactly as valid as it did the day it was uploaded, and it keeps looking that way until the expiry date arrives, or someone manually checks the register.
Oho checks at the source. We verify each credential against the register that issues it and push the current status back into the systems you already use, so nothing changes about how your team works day to day.
